Final Project: My First Old Boston Building

These are the screenshots of minecraft building Old South Church in downtown Boston.
I tried my best to resemble Old South Church using multiple colors of blocks along with a glass for the windows on the wall.
I created my land a bit small and thus I had to create it on the land nearby ocean, where as, Old South Boston is located at the downtown - exact current address: 645 Boylston St, Boston.
Scaling was very difficult because starting from Wold Paint, I had a hard time scaling the map as well. However, I figured out as I explored and tried my best to be as similar as possible. Old South Church is about 13,000 square ft (1200 square meter); 1 block  40 square meter since one wall has approx 30 blocks on width

Final Project: My 4 hours with World Painter

This was the first time using World Painter and it was very interesting to use the tools to create Boston.
I tried to follow and create as similar as the second map in previous screenshot.

IMMERSION 2015 outreach (Facebook and Google+)

For this assignment, I have posted the screenshots of sharing the Youtube video (https://youtu.be/ZHVqtBGbJNg) from the iED Facebook page. The post includes the link to the video and to Immersive Education webpage (http://ImmersiveEducation.org/i2015).
I also mentioned on the post that technologies such as this (Microsoft HoloLens promises to change our world. Will it?) will be addressed at IMMERSION 2015 in Paris this September.

Final Project: Historic Boston Reference Materials

For assignment 8, I have researched regarding Boston at the time of the American Revolution and the Boston Tea Party. Also, I have looked for historically accurate maps of Boston at that time, along with information about scale, GIS data, man-made structures, and natural structures.

Boston Tea Party 12.16.1773

GIS; the map below shows Boston in 1775
It was originally a small peninsula encircled by the Atlantic OCean, Charles River, Mystic River, and Chelsea Creek. Filling in the surrounding mud flats began in the early 1800s, and continued until the early 1900s
